My three semesters abroad and summer experiences away from home have allowed me to collect footage for this installation for the last two years. Queer nightlife has always been an architectural typology that has fascinated me in the way it makes me feel. It's the most powerful sensorial architecture I know. I experienced nightlife as both an insider and an outsider and had drastically different experiences at every venue I went to. The experiences also varied dramatically depending on if I was alone, with friends, or on dates. These experiences allowed me to get a more holistic view about queer nightlife and challenged my existing assumptions. The following photos are stills from my videos.
